When a hand-wash station is worth adding
Standard portable toilets have sanitizer but no sink. Anywhere people eat, handle food or animals, or get properly dirty, soap and water does a much better job.
Events serving food should plan on at least one station, and about one for every ten toilets. Many local health departments expect hand washing near food vendors, so check your event permit. On job sites with no running water, put one next to the toilets and another at the break area.

A busy food event can run through a station's water and towels faster than people expect. By three o'clock the pump is dry and the dispenser's empty, and people are back to wiping their hands on their jeans.
